EHR and DOQ-IT Implementation Assistance

TMF's DOQ-IT staff will provide practice workflow redesign and EHR adoption assistance in three phases:

Pre-Implementation:

Assess current office processes and readiness for improved IT
Administer questionnaire to aid in software selection
Advise on workflow considerations
Aid understanding of vendor implementation process
Provide details on participation in national reporting of clinical quality
measures
Assist in achieving readiness for configuration (including providing templates
for data collection that the vendor can use during set-up)
Implementation

Implementation:

Advise on data exchange and interface needs, including connectivity
considerations between systems and common data transfers
Make recommendations on configuration preparation
Assist with office staff training
Test data transfer to the QIO Clinical Warehouse

Post-Implementation:

Host follow-up meeting on areas that can be targeted for quality
improvement
Make suggestions for workflow enhancement
Advise on ways to make IT systems more efficient
Provide feedback on quality improvement

DOQ-IT staff will also provide quality improvement assistance by:

Providing data analysis and clinical quality measure reports to participating
physicians
Identifying opportunities for quality improvement
Working with physician offices in implementing workflow re-design and system change
